What to pack for your first liveaboard
A practical packing list from years of liveaboard trips, what you actually need on the boat, and what can stay home.
Liveaboard travel is different from a resort stay. Space is limited, days are long, and the right gear makes everything easier.
Start with exposure protection suited to the water temperature, a reliable dive computer, and a save-a-dive kit. Pack reef-safe sunscreen and a compact dry bag for camera gear between dives.
Most importantly, bring an open mind. Liveaboards are social by nature, you will share meals, stories, and some of the best dives of your life with the people around you.
